As a versatile musician, Mariano García has the ability to sound different in each work he performs, taking care of the particularities of each score without losing his own personality.
Mariano García has developed his career in different sides: as a soloist, as a chamber musician and in an orchestra, enriching himself from each of those experiences.
He has performed concerts in the main cities of Spain, France and Italy, performing in venues such as the Auditorio Nacional in Madrid, the Palau de la Música in Valencia or the Auditorio de Zaragoza, he has worked with directors such as Zubin Mehta, Juanjo Mena, Pinchas Steinberg or Fabio Biondi, and has participated in festivals such as the Otoño Musical Soriano, the International Festival of Cagnes-sur-Mer or the Festival Internacional de Música de Deià.
As a soloist he has performed the main works composed for cello and orchestra, from Haydn's Concerto No. 1 to Beethoven's Triple Concerto, including concerts by Schumann, Saint-Saëns or Dvorak or Tchaikovsky's Rococo Variations.
Passionate about chamber music, he was a founding member of the Mendelssohn Trio, with which he won the National Music Chamber Award for Juventudes Musicales de España and is currently a member of the Rebek Trio, which regularly performs with a collection of Stradivarius granted by the prestigious Parisian lutier Claude Lebet.
He has recorded for EMI the integral music for cello solo and cello and piano by Joaquín Rodrigo.
Trained with professors such as Lluís Claret and Asier Polo, he studied music at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Valencia, obtaining the highest grades in cello and chamber music. He has received advice from artists such as Mirolslav Rostropovich, Charles Tunell and Stefan Popov.
Currently he combines his activity in recitals and as a soloist in orchestras with his work as a soloist professor of the Orchesta de Valencia and with chamber music projects.
